Several years ago, on the back of a napkin, we developed the concept for empowerDX. Our vision was to bring lab testing that is often difficult to find or to get covered by insurance into the hands and homes of consumers. Thankfully, the leaders of Eurofins had the same vision. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of Eurofins Scientific, an international life sciences company with 900 laboratories and 60,000 employees worldwide.

People encounter health issues and want to dig deeper to understand the root cause, often asking, "Is there something more I can do to improve my quality of life? Do I have to suffer with these symptoms?" We set out to help answer these questions and focused on bringing innovative diversified tests to the market.

Our path was diverted in early 2020 with the COVID-19 pandemic. But we took the challenge head on and were determined to help those in need. Our partner lab developed the most sensitive at-home COVID-19 PCR test on the market (according to the FDA). We relentlessly worked to bring this test to you by creating test kits, shipping overnight, accepting insurance, and partnering with Uber and national pharmacy chains.
