Zen Rewards: Cashback Reminder (browser extension) Version 0.1.0 Effective date: October 20, 2026

This agreement is between you and Zen Rewards ("Zen Rewards", "we", "us"), the operator of myzenrewards.com, located in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. It covers your use of the Zen Rewards: Cashback Reminder browser extension (the "Extension").

By installing or using the Extension you agree to this agreement. If you do not agree, do not install the Extension, or uninstall it.

1. What the Extension does

The Extension does one thing. When you visit the website of a store that partners with Zen Rewards, it can remind you that cashback is available there and give you a button to activate it. In detail:

• Every 6 hours the Extension downloads the public list of Zen Rewards partner stores (store domain, name, logo and cashback rate text) from the Zen Rewards API.
• When a page finishes loading on a partner store's domain, the Extension may show a small, dismissible reminder card in the bottom-right corner of the page, and may change its toolbar icon badge to show that cashback is available or already activated.
• The reminder card and the Extension popup have an "Activate cashback" button. Nothing is activated until you click it.
• Before doing anything on a store page, the Extension checks whether you arrived through another affiliate link or tracking network. If so, it stands down for that visit: no card, grey icon, Activate disabled. The public stand-down policy is published at https://myzenrewards.com/extension/stand-down-policy and in the Extension's source repository.

The Extension does not run on search engine result pages, does not auto-apply coupons, does not redirect you anywhere on its own, and does not place anything in checkout or cart pages.

2. What user action places an affiliate cookie

This section is required by the affiliate networks Zen Rewards works with, and we want it to be clear.

The only action that leads to an affiliate cookie is you clicking "Activate cashback" in the reminder card or in the Extension popup.

When you click it, the Extension navigates your current tab to a Zen Rewards tracked link (https://myzenrewards.com/eout/store/{id}). That page records the click in your Zen Rewards account and then redirects you through the affiliate network's link to the store. The affiliate network (Awin, CJ Affiliate, Impact or Rakuten Advertising, depending on the store) then sets its own tracking cookie on the store's website, exactly as it would if you had clicked the same store link on myzenrewards.com.

The Extension itself never sets, reads, or modifies any cookie. It has no cookie permission. If you never click Activate, no affiliate cookie is placed as a result of the Extension.

After you activate, the Extension keeps a local "activated" flag for that store domain for 24 hours so it does not keep reminding you. That flag is cosmetic only. It lives in your browser and has no effect on whether a purchase is tracked.

3. License grant

Zen Rewards grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Extension on browsers you control, for your own non-commercial use, in accordance with this agreement.

The Extension's source code is kept in its source repository so that affiliate networks and members can review it. This agreement governs your use of the packaged Extension distributed through the Chrome Web Store and Microsoft Edge Add-ons.

4. Zen Rewards membership

Cashback is paid through your Zen Rewards membership, not by the Extension. The Zen Rewards Terms of Service at https://myzenrewards.com/terms-of-service and the cashback terms shown on each store page apply to any cashback you earn. If there is a conflict between this agreement and the Zen Rewards Terms of Service about cashback, the Terms of Service control.

Not every purchase earns cashback. Store exclusions, return periods and confirmation times are set by the store and the network, not by the Extension.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute the packaged Extension without written permission from Zen Rewards.
• Use the Extension to generate clicks, sales or cashback through fraud, automation, bots, or on behalf of another person.
• Use the Extension to interfere with any affiliate network's tracking, or with another publisher's tracking.
• Bundle the Extension with other software, or install it on a device without the device owner's consent.
• Use the Extension if you are under 18 years of age.
• Use the Extension in any way that violates the law or the terms of the Chrome Web Store, Microsoft Edge Add-ons, or any store or affiliate network.

Zen Rewards may suspend or close your Zen Rewards account, and may block the Extension from working with your account, if we believe you have broken these rules.

6. Privacy

The Extension's privacy policy is at https://myzenrewards.com/extension/privacy-policy and in the Extension's repository under docs/privacy-policy.md. In short: the Extension stores a small amount of data locally in your browser, sends a request to Zen Rewards only when you click Activate or open the popup, uses no analytics SDK, loads no third-party scripts, and never sells data.

7. Updates and changes

We may release updates to the Extension through the Chrome Web Store and Microsoft Edge Add-ons. Your browser may install them automatically depending on your browser settings.

We may change this agreement. If we do, we will update the version and effective date at the top of this document and publish the new version at the URL above and in the repository. Continuing to use the Extension after a change means you accept the new version. If you do not accept it, uninstall the Extension.

8. Termination

You can end this agreement at any time by uninstalling the Extension through your browser's normal extension management page. Uninstalling removes all data the Extension stored locally.

We can end this agreement, or stop the Extension from working, at any time, for example if an affiliate network requires it, if the Extension is withdrawn from a store, or if you breach this agreement. Sections 9 through 12 survive termination.

9. No warranty

The Extension is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Extension will be error-free, that it will detect every partner store or every prior affiliate interaction, or that any purchase will be tracked or will earn cashback. Tracking depends on the store, the affiliate network, your browser settings, ad blockers, and other factors we do not control.

Some states do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zen Rewards will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost cashback, lost profits, or lost data, arising from or related to the Extension, even if we were told such damages were possible.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for all claims related to the Extension will not exceed the greater of (a) the cashback actually credited to your Zen Rewards account from clicks made through the Extension in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US$50.

Some states do not allow the limitation of liability for certain damages, so some of the above may not apply to you.

11. Governing law and disputes

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising from this agreement or the Extension will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

If any part of this agreement is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

12. General

This agreement, together with the Extension privacy policy and the Zen Rewards Terms of Service, is the entire agreement between you and Zen Rewards about the Extension. You may not assign this agreement. We may assign it to a successor of the Zen Rewards business. Our failure to enforce any part of this agreement is not a waiver.
